ENERGY SAXONY aims to raise ressource-efficiency, the provision of climate-friendly energy and mobility through the use of digital technologies and thus supports the Saxon state government to implement its digitalization strategy. It is essential to link energy and data networks in order to establish an intelligent energy system and to enable a successful energy transition. The technologies that are developed within this network of competence shall not only be deployed in Saxony, but also in international projects. Thus, Energy Saxony supports its members in opening up new markets by establishing international strategic partnerships.
The Saxon State Ministry of Economics and Labour supports this initiative and provides funding of almost € 200,000 on the basis of its cluster promotion guideline until 2020. With this financial support, the Ministry aims to promote the digital transformation of the energy sector as an integral component of the energy transition process and to strengthen the competetiveness of the actors of the Saxon energy sector, nationally and in selected international markets.
The automatic coordination of supply and demand in the energy market through digital management promises ecological and economical advantages, but also poses huge challenges for the actors of the industry. We want to discuss with you relevant questions about these future trends and announce new developments in the field of "digitalization of the energy sector". In cooperation with different partners, Energy Saxony organizes INNOVATIONLABS for the exchange of information, development of ideas, launching of projects as well as to provide networking opportunities.

The energy system of the future should contribute to climate and environment protection as well as meeting the criteria for economic efficiency and supply reliability. This is a global task and needs cross-border technological and infrastructural change. With a stronger international focus of our network-activities, we want to generate added values for our members and stimulate a transnational dialogue with exchange of experiences and joint projects.
