WindNODE Results

 

As part of the WindNODE project, ENERGY SAXONY carried out an analysis on the development of the energy transition in the European context in order to link WindNODE project partners and pioneering projects.

As coordinator of a permanent cooperation network in the Saxon energy sector, Energy Saxony supported the WindNODE showcase project in the areas of internationalization, the development of untapped synergy potentials, as well as in communication and external presentation, and identified European projects that addressed at least one of the following core topics as part of a mapping process:

  • Pilot region for the use of high volumes of wind energy feed-in

  • Flexibility in industry and utilities, retail and commerce, or households

  • Flexibility marketing

  • Electrification of the heat or transport sector

  • Redesign of the energy market to take advantage of flexibility

  • Virtual power plants

  • Digitalisation in distribution grids

  • Second life concepts for battery stacks
