Circular Saxony

Climate protection requires not only an energy turnaround but also a raw materials turnaround. Therefore, the European Commission has defined the decoupling of economic growth from raw material consumption as a goal in its Green Deal. To establish a circular economy in Saxony, the two associations Energy Saxony e.V. and Circular MTC e.V. have initiated the innovation cluster CIRCULAR SAXONY, which is funded by the Free State of Saxony. The objective is the sustainable design of production and recycling cycles in order to counter the resource problem and to reduce the transformation costs towards climate neutrality. Together with actors from industry, science and politics, the circular economy is to be transferred from rhetoric to practice within the framework of topic-specific working groups.

Kick-off Meeting

Starting signal for the establishment of a circular economy in Saxony:

The innovation cluster CIRCULAR SAXONY received the funding decision from Minister of State Martin Dulig on July 7, 2022 at the kick-off event at the Institute for Wood Technology Dresden. The Free State of Saxony is funding the project with 1.48 million euros.

Functioning networks and clusters play an important role in the industry to generate new added value and supply chains and to expand existing ones. CIRCULAR SAXONY gives you the chance to network with solution providers and achieve a sustainable increase in sales with innovative ideas, circular products and processes.
