Batteries have become an integral part of everyday life, both in our private lives and in industrial applications. They are now of additional importance because they act as the key component of electromobility and stationary storage units.
There are several connecting factors present in Saxon industry and research, ranging from the long-established lead-acid battery to the modern lithium-ion battery for electromobility and innovative battery concepts currently under development; from the provision of raw and manufactured materials to assembling and managing complete battery systems.
Cooperating within Energy Saxony will provide suppliers with ample opportunity to bridge the gap between battery technology and other energy systems, such as fuel cells and photovoltaics, and address complex energy-related problems hand in hand.
